Accounts Payable Specialist POST NUMBER: 408821
Vaco is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join a great finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and data entry.
- Prepare and review payment batches for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with the processing of employee expense reports and credit card transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a professional manner.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounts payable processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
