About the Company
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support our accounting and financial reporting functions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, contribute to process improvements, and play a key role in maintaining accurate financials.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing core accounting activities, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting skills who enjoys taking ownership of their work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Support external audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred
- CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
