Business Analyst – Agile Delivery
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Job Type: 6?Month Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full?time, Monday–Friday
Compensation: 60/hr
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a highly visible digital initiative within a Data & BI organization. This role works closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders and plays a key role in ensuring requirements are clearly defined, well documented, and ready for development in an Agile environment.
The Business Analyst will partner day to day with developers, product partners, and program leadership to translate business needs into executable work. This role requires comfort working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model and the ability to keep multiple teams aligned on scope, priorities, and expectations.
Responsibilities include gathering and clarifying business and functional requirements, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting backlog organization and refinement, and assisting with sprint planning and delivery activities. The Business Analyst will regularly participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with development teams to ensure work is well understood and ready for sprint execution. This role also serves as a key point of coordination between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping manage expectations and maintain alignment throughout delivery.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects, preferably in an Agile or Scrum environment. Candidates should be comfortable writing user stories, supporting sprint?based delivery, and managing competing priorities across multiple teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders are critical for success in this role.
Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred, especially for managing backlogs, tracking work, and maintaining documentation. Previous experience supporting internal digital tools or enterprise platforms is a plus, but not required.
This is a hybrid role based in Nashville, TN, with regular onsite collaboration required. The position supports a business?critical initiative with leadership visibility and offers meaningful involvement in shaping how work is delivered.
