Accounts Receivable Specialist – Contract (6–9 Months)
ONSITE: Greensboro, NC
Vaco is partnering with a growing manufacturing client to find an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a hands-on AR team. This 6–9 month contract role is perfect for someone with AR experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle AR and cash application, applying payments accurately and efficiently
- Manage deductions and chargeback analysis, working with customers via portals or phone to resolve disputes
- Generate aging reports, reconciliations, and track unapplied cash
- Collaborate with internal teams and the new claims department on complex AR scenarios
- Support customer accounts ranging from national to smaller/mom-and-pop accounts
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely resolution of AR items
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in manufacturing or high-volume B2B environments
- Strong cash application, deductions, and dispute resolution skills
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering)
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting directly with customers
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
