The Senior Risk Analyst will drive risk assessment and strategic decision support for large, complex commercial deals. This role sits at the intersection of risk management and strategic finance, evaluating enterprise-wide risks and ensuring informed, data-driven decisions. The Senior Risk Analyst leads deal risk assessments, using advanced quantitative methods (e.g., scenario analysis, stress testing, Monte Carlo simulations) to model potential outcomes, quantify financial exposure, and assess best/worst-case scenarios. Acting as a central partner across Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, Credit, and Regulatory teams, this position will ensure all risks are identified, evaluated, and clearly communicated before decisions are made. This position plays a key role in enterprise risk management, developing frameworks, monitoring emerging risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Senior Risk Analyst will be highly visible and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, helping shape strategy on high-impact, long-term opportunities.
The right candidate for the Senior Risk Analyst will have:
- 5–8 years in risk analysis, strategic finance, or analytics (energy, commodities, or financial services preferred)
- Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative field along with Master's in Risk Management is ideal
- Designation as Certified Risk Analyst is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in risk modeling, scenario analysis, quantitative analysis, and financial forecasting (including Monte Carlo simulations)
- Proficiency in Excel modeling, PowerPoint, SQL, and data visualization tools
- Ability to communicate complex risk insights to executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong business judgment and ability to assess large commercial deals
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills for senior leadership and board-level audiences
- A collaborative mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- History of job stability is required for consideration
