What You’ll Do
Forward-Looking Tax Projections

Forecast Liability: Develop sophisticated models to estimate future tax obligations based on shifting income, deductions, and credits.

Scenario Analysis: Model the "what-ifs"—from job changes and liquidity events to family shifts—to illustrate the real-dollar impact of financial decisions.

Precision Withholding: Audit W-4s and withholding levels to eliminate year-end surprises and optimize cash flow.

Estimated Payments: Calculate and manage quarterly estimated payments, ensuring members leverage IRS Safe Harbor rules to avoid penalties.
Strategic Tax Optimization
You will collaborate with our financial planning team to identify and execute high-impact strategies in:

Equity Compensation: Navigating the complexities of ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, and RSAs, including AMT mitigation and exercise-and-hold strategies.

Real Estate: Maximizing depreciation, managing 1031 exchanges, and optimizing rental income.

Retirement & Education: Advising on tax-efficient vehicles like Backdoor Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, 529s, and Coverdell accounts.

Philanthropy & Estate: Implementing donor-advised funds (DAFs), charitable trusts, and lifetime gifting strategies.

SALT & International: Solving for residency/domicile issues and managing the tax implications of foreign investments or US persons living abroad.
Qualifications
-
Credentials: You are a CPA or Enrolled Agent with at least 7 years of experience in high-net-worth individual tax planning and return review.

Technical Mastery: You have an encyclopedic knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, particularly regarding estates, trusts, and passive investments.

The "Fintech" Mindset: You are proficient in leading tax software but are also eager to help us shape and adopt new technology to automate and elevate the member experience.

Communication Artistry: You can translate the Internal Revenue Code into plain, actionable English for our members and internal partners.

Collaborative Spirit: You enjoy working at the center of a cross-functional team, bridging the gap between tax, investment, and financial planning.
