JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Workday HCM / CWR Consultant for a 6M Contract (w/ likely extensions) that is remote-based.  The Workday HCM / CWR Consultant must possess strong, hands-on expertise across Learning (LMS), Talent, Organizational Development, Recruiting, Security, and Reporting.  The Workday HCM / CWR Consultant is a critical role supporting a major global transformation: a PeopleSoft to Workday HCM implementation spanning approximately 30 countries (United States / Canada / Europe / the Caribbean). The Workday HCM / CWR Consultant will play a key role in configuring, optimizing, and supporting Workday HCM functionality with a strong focus on contingent workforce (CWR) processes while ensuring multi-country compliance and global consistency.

About the Project: This is a senior-level, multi-module functional consultant / SME (Subject Matter Expert) role with a heavy emphasis on global implementation leadership and contingent workforce (CWR) expertise. It's positioned as a hands-on configurator and lead, not just an advisor or support resource. There will be a strong focus on Contingent Workforce processes in Workday, including onboarding contractors, contract management, conversions to employee, supplier integrations, avoiding overlaps with employees / POIs, data integrity, etc. However, the bulk of the day-to-day work spans multiple HCM modules beyond just CWR.  The ideal candidate will have been involved in 3 full-lifecycle Workday HCM implementations with 1 being global / multi-country.

This role is closer to a Senior Functional Lead or Multi-Module SME than a standard HCM Consultant, focusing on Multi-Modules (hands-on) / Advanced Modules / Global Scale/Complexity (Multi-Country) / CWR Specialization Broader HCM / Product Lifecycle Involvement / Stakeholder/Leadership Engagement

  • Workday HCM / Global Implementation – Delivering Multiple Full-Lifecycle Workday HCM Implementations with Success in Multi-Country Deployments
  • Functional / Configuration Expertise (hands-on) – Expertise Across Workday Modules | Learning (LMS) / Talent / Organizational Development / Recruiting / Security / Reporting
  • LMS / Workday Integration – Cornerstone LMS / Workday Integrations (strongly preferred)
  • Multi-LMS / Regulated Environments – Supporting Multiple LMS Platforms within Regulated Industries (Retail / Operator Qualification / Pipeline / Energy / Compliance Training) (strongly preferred)
  • PeopleSoft / Data Migration (knowledge) – PeopleSoft HCM Data Structures / Best Practices for Workday Migration
  • Global HR / Compliance Knowledge – Global HR Processes / Regional Compliance Requirements (US / Canada / EU GDPR / Caribbean Regulations / Cross-Border Data Management)
  • CWR (Contingent Workforce) – Supporting / Managing Workday CWR / Contingent Workforce Processes
  • Stakeholder Management / Communication – Engaging Effectively with Global / Cross-Functional Stakeholders via Strong Communication Skills
