Workday Administrator – Financial Systems 

Our client is seeking a Workday Administrator – Financial Systems to support and optimize their Workday Financials platform, with a focus on  Accounting Center. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure financial systems operate efficiently and provide accurate, actionable data to support business decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining financial expertise with systems administration and wants to play a key role in improving financial processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Workday Financials, supporting Finance and Accounting teams.

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday FP&A and Financial Consolidation modules.

  • Manage system updates, testing, and deployments for Workday releases.

  • Partner with Finance leadership to improve budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes.

  • Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics within Workday.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide end-user support for finance teams.

  • Maintain data integrity across financial systems and ensure accurate integrations.

  • Collaborate with IT and external partners on system enhancements and integrations.

  • Document processes, system configurations, and best practices.

  • Support financial close and consolidation cycles from a systems perspective.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field

  • 4–7 years of experience supporting Workday Financials

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials and Accounting Center.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation processes

  • Experience building Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields

  • Familiarity with Workday security, business process frameworks, and system configuration

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and finance leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Accounting 

  • Experience supporting monthly close and consolidation processes

  • Prior experience working in a financial systems or Workday administration role

  • Workday certifications are a plus
