Account Reconciliation, Cash Application Specialist Contractor POST NUMBER: 475857
Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking a Cash Application & Account Reconciliation Specialist to support accounts receivable operations during a period of growth and process improvement.
This role is hybrid, at their office in San Francisco, CA. However, remote candidates will be considered. This engagement has a duration of 3 months with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities:
- Process and apply customer payments across multiple channels with a high degree of accuracy
- Match payments to open invoices and research unapplied cash or payment discrepancies
- Perform detailed account reconciliations between ERP records and external sources
- Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger and resolve variances
- Support month?end and quarter?end close activities through timely reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve billing disputes, credits, and adjustments
- Prepare cash application and reconciliation reports and exception analyses
- Support cash forecasting efforts with accurate and timely reconciliation data
- Identify root causes of reconciliation issues and recommend process improvements
Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or account reconciliation
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets
- Experience working with ERP systems in high?volume environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
