The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, close activities, and audit readiness. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to mentor junior staff while supporting business initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Execute monthly close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account analyses
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, receivables, payables, payroll, and intercompany balances
- Investigate and resolve variances, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls
- Participate in process improvements and special projects as needed
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to less experienced team members
The right candidate for this Senior Accountant opportunity will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Approximately 3 years of relevant experience
- Public accounting (audit) experience (Big 4 or national firm)
- CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
