Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO to support a high-growth, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business through a critical period of integration and transformation. This is not a traditional accounting-focused role—this position requires a leader who understands the operational and financial complexities of a marketing-driven, e-commerce environment and can provide strategic guidance during ongoing integration efforts.
What We’re Looking For:
This role requires someone who has hands-on DTC experience and understands where the real business challenges exist beyond the close. The ideal candidate has supported organizations with:
- Multiple distribution centers and complex fulfillment networks
- Marketing-driven revenue models (digital spend, CAC, promotions, attribution)
- End-to-end order flow from marketing ? e-commerce storefront ? fulfillment ? revenue recognition
- Inventory management across multiple warehouses, including margin impact from shipping, returns, and promotions
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a transitional CFO, providing strategic finance leadership in a non-executive capacity
- Support M&A and post-merger integration efforts, including add-on acquisitions
- Partner with leadership to improve visibility into margins, performance, and operational KPIs
- Advise on financial implications of marketing spend, customer acquisition, and pricing strategies
- Support and guide a lean finance/accounting team
- Drive integration initiatives across systems, processes, and reporting
Required Experience:
- Prior CFO experience, ideally within DTC / e-commerce environments
- Strong background in M&A and post-merger integrations
- Experience in private equity-backed companies
- Deep understanding of consumer marketing, inventory management, S&OP, OTB planning, and merchandising
- Experience supporting multiple distribution centers and fulfillment operations
- Ability to operate in a lean, fast-paced environment and quickly add value
