Our client, a rapidly scaling AI company, is seeking a Finance Lead (manager or director level, DOE) to help build and scale its financial and go-to-market infrastructure during a critical growth phase. Experience providing FP&A support for fundraising is very helpful.
Location:
San Francisco, CA. This position is primarily onsite with some flexibility.
Job Description:
This role will serve as the first dedicated finance hire focused on planning, reporting, and commercial finance, partnering closely with executive leadership to support pricing strategy, revenue operations, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys designing systems and processes from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Own monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Build and maintain scalable financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Partner with leadership on pricing strategy, deal economics, and commercial terms
- Support fundraising activities through financial analysis and scenario modeling
- Partner with go-to-market teams on quotas, bookings forecasts, commissions, and deal support
- Help design and operationalize quote-to-cash processes, including invoicing and collections
- Stand up and integrate CRM and revenue systems with financial reporting workflows
- Design and implement scalable finance and revenue operations processes
- Support headcount planning, capital allocation, and board-level reporting
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve data accuracy across systems
Requirements:
- 6 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or sales finance
- Experience operating in high-growth or early-stage environments
- Strong understanding of go-to-market and commercial finance mechanics
- Proven ability to build systems, processes, and reporting from scratch
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
- Ability to operate independently and partner closely with senior leadership
