Billing Manager POST NUMBER: 476438
Our client, a high?growth software company, is seeking an Interim Billing Manager to provide short?term coverage following a recent team departure.
This position is fully remote, and the engagement is expected to last 2 months.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute end?to?end billing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
- Partner with revenue and finance leadership to maintain continuity across billing and revenue workflows
- Review and validate invoices, contracts, and usage data for proper billing alignment
- Manage billing adjustments, credits, and reconciliations
- Support month?end close activities related to billing and revenue recognition
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
- Collaborate cross?functionally with finance, revenue operations, and sales teams to ensure data integrity
- Maintain billing documentation and identify process improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable revenue recognition standards
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in billing, revenue accounting, or order?to?cash functions
- Experience operating at a billing manager or senior individual contributor level
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Ability to step into complex environments quickly with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem?solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and comfort partnering cross?functionally
