We are recruiting a Staff Accountant for a long standing company in Raleigh. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with hands on month-end close, financial reporting, and operational accounting within a structured, supportive environment. Responsibilities:

Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Manage key balance sheet areas such as accruals, prepaids, leases, and fixed assets
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations across multiple business units
Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of internal management reporting and analysis
Perform variance analysis and investigate fluctuations, providing insight into key drivers
Support internal and external audit requests
Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or in process is ideal
2 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience is a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
Background in corporate, manufacturing, or other operationally focused environments preferred
