The Data Architect leads the design and optimization of an enterprise data platform within Microsoft Fabric. This role translates business needs into scalable, secure data architectures that enable advanced analytics, AI insights, and enterprise reporting. Working cross-functionally, the architect ensures high-quality, governed data supports predictive analytics and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and governance of Microsoft Fabric (Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake).
- Design scalable data models and end-to-end pipelines for analytics and AI workloads.
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and real-time processing.
- Establish best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Manage data governance, metadata, lineage, and compliance.
- Support AI/Machine Learning initiatives and collaborate with data science teams.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and lead architectural reviews.
- Mentor team members and drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI tools.
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, and modern data architecture.
- Strong skills in MS SQL, Python/PySpark, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with AI/Machine Learning pipelines, Machine Learning Ops, and data governance tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and system integration.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in data architecture/engineering; 3 years in cloud platforms.
- 3 years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure analytics.
- Experience supporting AI/Machine Learning solutions and working in Agile environments.
