Interim Finance Systems (UAT Focus) Senior Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 478069
Our client, a global organization with an active acquisition strategy, is seeking an Interim Finance Systems Senior Staff Accountant to support finance systems integration and shared services initiatives.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 2 days/week, at their offices in Austin, TX, and is expected to last 3-4 months, with potential for extension or conversion.
Responsibilities:
- Support finance integration efforts for newly acquired entities into shared services operations
- Participate in pre-integration discovery to understand business models, customers, suppliers, and finance processes
- Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) plans for finance shared services–owned processes
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and IT teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system and process issues
- Assist in preparing shared services teams for post-integration operations
- Support ERP and finance systems transformation initiatives by providing input on accounting and process requirements
- Identify opportunities to extend shared services support to non-integrated entities
- Support the delivery of finance services where full systems integration is not yet complete
- Lead or contribute to finance process improvement and automation initiatives
- Operate effectively in ambiguous, project-based environments with shifting priorities
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of finance shared services processes, including accounting, accounts payable, and credit/collections
- Hands-on experience supporting finance systems or ERP environments
- Prior involvement in business or systems integration projects
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives
- Strong cross-functional partnership and communication skills
- Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities
