Senior Internal Auditor

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join a dynamic Internal Audit team. The Senior Internal Auditor will play a critical role in conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and the integrity of financial statements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of our organization's risk management and control processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute internal audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Evaluate compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiencies.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to ensure the audit methodology remains effective.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and risk management principles.
  • Proficiency in audit methodologies, risk assessment, and audit software tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%).
