Senior Payroll Administrator POST NUMBER: 415127
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator with expertise in SAP SuccessFactors to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your payroll expertise in a dynamic, multi-national environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US and Canadian employees using SAP SuccessFactors
- Calculate gross pay accurately for salaried and hourly employees, both exempt and non-exempt
- Assist with SAP Payroll Parallel Testing to ensure system accuracy and efficiency
- Research and resolve payroll, tax, and garnishment-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in both the US and Canada
- Oversee year-end processes, including W-2 and T4 preparation and distribution
- Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and status changes
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff
- Participate in payroll system upgrades and enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification preferred
- Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors, with experience in major upgrades preferred
- Experience with both US and Canadian payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations in both countries
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
