JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Solution Architect / Principal Engineer for a 6M Contract (w/ likely extensions) that is remote.  The Solution Architect / Principal Engineer will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale network and security solutions for a large Fortune 10 environment. The Solution Architect / Principal Engineer will own technical strategy across data center, WAN/LAN, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures, guiding multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring solutions align with business objectives, security standards, and enterprise architecture requirements.  The Solution Architect / Principal Engineer will serve as the technical leader and escalation point for complex networking and security challenges, driving architecture decisions, overseeing engineering teams, and providing governance from design through deployment.  The ideal Solution Architect / Principal Engineer will possess deep networking expertise, broad cross-domain architecture knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders while delivering large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
