Security Operations Manager (Large-Scale Account)
Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000 base 10% discretionary bonus
Location: Kansas City Metro Area, MO (Onsite)

Overview
This is an opportunity for a well-established services organization supporting a large, high-complexity client engagement. This role oversees day-to-day operations, team performance, and service delivery within a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining operational standards, team readiness, and execution consistency.
  • This is an onsite leadership role within the Kansas City metro area
  • Candidates must be local to the KC-metro area due to urgent need
  • Additional client details and specific work location will be shared with shortlisted candidates

Role Summary
The Security Operations Manager will lead a sizable operations team in a dynamic, 24/7 environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining coverage, enforcing standards, and ensuring operational readiness across the engagement.
This role requires strong field leadership, the ability to make real-time decisions, and a disciplined approach to team management and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure consistent execution across all assigned responsibilities
  • Maintain full operational coverage and address real-time gaps or disruptions
  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable frontline supervisors and support staff
  • Conduct regular inspections, spot-checks, and performance evaluations in the field
  • Enforce standards of conduct, appearance, and job performance
  • Respond to attendance issues, call-offs, and operational challenges in real time
  • Monitor key operational metrics including coverage, readiness, and team performance
  • Drive accountability across all levels of the operation through clear expectations and follow-through
  • Partner with internal teams to support staffing, workforce planning, and retention
  • Communicate clear, concise updates to leadership regarding risks, performance, and operational status
  • Handle escalations and resolve personnel or operational issues with a practical, solutions-oriented approach
  • Continuously assess and improve operational effectiveness
Note: Candidates must come from a physical security background or have directly transferable experience in similar high-accountability operational environments.

Required Experience
5-10 years of leadership experience in one of the following:
  • Security operations
  • Military leadership roles
  • Law enforcement or similarly structured environments

Additional Experience Needed:
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a high-accountability, real-time operational environment
  • Experience managing medium to large teams with direct responsibility for performance and outcomes
  • Proven ability to enforce standards, maintain discipline, and lead from the front
  • Comfortable operating in environments with shifting priorities and immediate decision-making requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear direction and feedback
  • Experience in structured or hierarchical environments with defined procedures and expectations
  • Exposure to staffing challenges, workforce planning, or operational metrics
  • Experience leading in 24/7 or continuous operations environments
