About the Opportunity
- Create forecasts, trend analyses and build financial models, relating to the current business products, future and prospective initiatives, and changing trends in the Insurance market
- Advise on financial implications of new business ventures and M&A
- Creating “what-if” scenarios and sensitivity analysis aiding in objective decision-making
- Develop, present, and track departmental budgets
- Analyzes cost center detail and explain variances
- Prepare and update cash flow projections
- Provide advice and guidance to the Controller, VP of Finance & Administration, and business partner with internal departments
- Continue to improve the measurement and reporting of KPI’s
- Preparation, enhancement, analysis, and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages
- Consolidate quarterly reporting packages and prepare banking covenants
- Complete senior level year-end audit tasks including the development and reconciliation of supporting working papers
- Oversee and approve posting of journal entries, review general ledger and perform account reconciliations
- Set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage demands individually
- Perform all other job-related tasks or special projects as directed
About You
- 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- 2 years of experience in FP&A, and financial modelling
- MBA with a concentration in Finance an asset
- CFA or CPA designation in progress preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications
Salary Range
$70,000 - $85,000/year
