P/T Payroll Administrator POST NUMBER: 481474
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for maintaining payroll records, processing employee pay and deductions, responding to payroll inquiries, and helping ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and internal controls.
The ideal candidate brings strong payroll knowledge, sound judgment, and a high level of confidentiality.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including regular pay, overtime, vacation pay, bonuses, and other adjustments as applicable.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, direct deposit details, and statutory forms.
- Review time and attendance information to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to payroll processing.
- Calculate and verify statutory deductions and other payroll-related deductions, including taxes, benefits, pensions, and garnishments where applicable.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal review, remittances, and year-end activities.
- Assist with Records of Employment, year-end tax slips, and other required payroll filings and documentation.
- Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries in a professional, timely, and confidential manner.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
- Support continuous improvement of payroll processes, controls, and documentation.

Pay Range
$24.57 - $32.16 per hour
