Vaco's client in San Antonio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant for a contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have strong Income Statement (IS) and Balance Sheet (BS) experience, with a focus on financial statements for veterinary practices. This role requires a hands-on professional who can hit the ground running with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial statements for veterinary practices.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) and revenue, as well as accounts payable (AP) and expenses.
- Perform detailed journal entries (JEs), reconciliations, internal financial reporting, and analysis.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations, including cash and other balance sheet accounts, and clearly articulate recon experience.
- Adapt to organizational changes and effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Extensive experience with US GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
- Proficiency in managing AR, AP, and expense accounts.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a changing environment.
- Experience with large ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Sage Intacct, particularly the General Ledger (GL).
Compensation:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience, up to $75,000.
