Our client is seeking a Senior Client Accounts Specialist to join their growing team. This individual will play a critical role in managing client relationships, driving collections efforts, and partnering with internal stakeholders to maximize account realization and reduce aged receivables. The ideal candidate is a proactive, customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and possesses strong analytical and negotiation skills. Experience within a professional services or legal environment is highly preferred but not required.

Compensation: $30-$37/hour
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, billing attorneys, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the timely resolution of outstanding payments and account issues.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, including high-value receivables, aged invoices, credit balances, and unbilled inventory.
- Analyze account activity and develop effective collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce delinquent balances.
- Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to agreed-upon payment plans and engagement terms.
- Prepare and present detailed reports for leadership, identifying collection risks, aging trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with attorneys, support staff, and firm leadership to promote best practices related to billing, collections, and client account management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and collection performance.
- Provide guidance and support to new team members through training and knowledge sharing as needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and fostering positive client relationships.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–7 years of experience in collections, client relations, and account management, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis/reporting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reconciliation, billing, and collections processes.
- Experience developing and executing effective collection strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- A collaborative, customer-focused mindset with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Client Accounts Specialist within a law firm.
- Familiarity with legal eBilling platforms such as BillBlast or similar systems.
- Experience with legal collections and law firm billing practices.
