Salary: $76,000 - $85,000
Position Overview
A well-established real estate organization is seeking a Transfer Agent to manage ownership transfers, sales, leases, and refinancing transactions for cooperative and condominium properties. This role will serve as a key point of contact for boards, attorneys, brokers, and applicants throughout the transaction process.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and process co-op and condo sales, transfers, leases, and lease renewals.

Review application packages and ensure all required documentation is complete.

Manage transactions from initial submission through board approval and closing.

Prepare and distribute closing documents, ownership records, and related agreements.

Communicate regularly with board members, attorneys, brokers, lenders, and applicants.

Schedule board interviews and coordinate transaction timelines.

Process refinancing requests, ownership changes, and replacement ownership documents.

Collect and track applicable fees associated with transfers and closings.

Prepare reports regarding sales, lease activity, and transaction status.

Conduct closings and ensure accurate completion of all required paperwork.
Qualifications

Prior experience in co-op/condo transfers, property management, real estate administration, or transaction coordination.

Strong knowledge of residential real estate transactions and board approval processes.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and document management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related administrative systems.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience working with New York City co-op and condominium properties.

Familiarity with lease processing, refinancing transactions, and closing documentation.

Experience interacting with boards, attorneys, brokers, and financial institutions.
