The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting and advancing the organization's people strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as both a strategic business partner and a hands-on HR leader, collaborating with leaders across the business to build scalable people programs, enhance employee engagement, and support organizational growth.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will provide guidance on employee relations, talent management, compensation, performance management, compliance, and HR best practices. This individual will also contribute to developing and mentoring junior HR team members while helping to foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.
HR Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance aligned with organizational priorities.
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support workforce planning and organizational change initiatives.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle
- Support recruitment activities, onboarding, and employee integration.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.
- Oversee HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive employee experience.
Performance & Talent Management
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Assist leaders in identifying succession planning and talent development opportunities.
- Recommend solutions to improve individual and organizational performance.
- Participate in compensation planning, salary benchmarking, and market analysis.
- Support benefits administration and total rewards programs.
- Assist with annual compensation review processes and related HR initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and internal policies.
- Maintain HR systems, employee records, and reporting while supporting continuous process improvements.
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation as required.
- Support HR metrics and reporting to inform business decisions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for junior HR team members.
- Foster collaboration within the HR function and across the organization.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- CHRP or CHRL designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including several years in a broad HR Generalist or HR Business Partner capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting compensation, total rewards, and salary administration programs.
- Demonstrated success managing employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Experience working with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information.

Pay Range
$45 - $55 / hour
