Our client is seeking a skilled and collaborative Accounting Manager to oversee their financial accounting and lead monthly consolidations. The ideal candidate will have experience in consolidation mapping and expertise in financial reporting and financial accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management- Oversee daily general ledger operations and month-end close processes
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Maintain the chart of accounts and implement any necessary changes
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Prepare and analyze budget variance reports
- Assist in budget-to-actual comparisons and explanation
- Oversee the consolidation process for multiple entities or subsidiaries
- Develop and maintain consolidation mapping structures
- Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions
- Reconcile and validate consolidated financial statements
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and maintain key financial reports for management
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting and manufacturing sector experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with consolidation processes and multi-entity reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
