An entertainment company in the Valley is looking for a Director of Accounting role to join their team. In this role, the Director of Accounting will be responsible for financial reporting and month-end close. What do you need for this Director of Accounting role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 7-10 years of accounting experience
- Must be CPA adjacent (candidate taking exams, licensed, or inactive)
- Must have audit experience from public accounting
- Must have entertainment experience
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to the executive team.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate audit processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Analyze and manage production costs, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve financial efficiency.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the studio's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights on potential financial impacts.
