A growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to manage a portfolio of business clients. This role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with client relationship management, making it ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys serving as a trusted financial partner.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accounting partner for an assigned portfolio of clients, building strong relationships through responsive and professional service.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure the integrity of client financial records.
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle bookkeeping and operational accounting functions.
- Collaborate with internal accounting and tax professionals to support client needs and reporting requirements.
- Evaluate existing workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while effectively prioritizing deadlines and deliverables.
- Provide guidance and insights to clients regarding financial results, accounting matters, and business operations.
- Proactively identify issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement practical accounting solutions.
Qualifications
- 5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, client accounting, or outsourced accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and month-end close.
- Advanced QuickBooks experience required.
- Experience managing multiple clients, entities, or business units.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and build strong client relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
