Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller. This role will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and maintaining the financial health of the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management within the PEO industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to support business decisions.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
- Train, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounting team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the PEO industry or related field is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
