Remote Interim Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 484397
A growing and dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the finance team during a critical period of growth and process enhancement. This is a fully remote contract opportunity expected to last 6–8 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys improving processes, and has strong experience managing the close process within NetSuite. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial reporting accuracy, and partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Partner with external auditors and assist with audit requests
- Improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows to support scalability
- Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams on ad hoc projects
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff as needed
- Assist with system enhancements and reporting improvements within NetSuite
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including management-level responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Advanced experience with NetSuite ERP required
- Experience in a high-growth or rapidly evolving environment preferred
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis
Preferred Experience
- Multi-entity and intercompany accounting
- Audit support and external audit coordination
- Process improvement and system optimization initiatives
- Public accounting background and/or CPA designation
