OVERVIEW:
A leading retail company is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of E-Commerce to spearhead the establishment and growth of our online retail presence. As the company’s head of e-commerce, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and drive their digital strategy, ensuring a seamless and impactful online shopping experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive growth, enhance user experience, and achieve sales targets.
- Website Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of our e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal functionality, user experience, and performance.
- Sales and Performance: Drive online sales initiatives, manage performance metrics, and implement strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, IT, merchandising, and customer service teams to align e-commerce initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Customer Experience: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the online shopping experience, including personalization, site navigation, and customer support.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, and online advertising to drive traffic and conversions.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor e-commerce performance, analyze data, and generate reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Team Building: Build and lead a high-performing e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Experience: 8 years of experience in e-commerce, with a proven track record in leading e-commerce operations and achieving growth targets.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital marketing strategies, and online consumer behavior.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and digital marketing tools.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from conception to execution.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in E-Commerce, Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
