Payroll Staff (Contract-to-Hire) – Hybrid – 2 Days a Week

Vaco San Antonio is partnering with a dynamic client seeking two dedicated Payroll Staff members to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Position: Payroll Staff (Contract-to-Hire)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for a large company, managing payroll for approximately 500-600 employees on a bi-weekly basis per payroll staff.
  • Utilize Workday to process payroll efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure detailed attention to payroll data, analyzing and identifying potential errors or omissions.
  • Handle payroll operations for 20-30 locations, ensuring compliance and timely payments.
  • Collaborate effectively with other stakeholders and departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
Must-Haves:
  • 1 years of payroll experience in a similar role.
  • Workday experience (1-2 years preferred, but open to candidates with less recent experience if it is current).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies.
  • Experience with large company payroll operations, managing payroll for around 500-600 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Eager to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing payroll for multiple locations.
