This role is crucial for the strategic planning and decision-making processes of the company. The FP&A Manager will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions and provide critical financial insights that drive business performance and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities, partnering with various departments to gather, validate, and interpret financial data.
  • Work cross-departmentally to gain a deep understanding of operational drivers, incorporating these factors into comprehensive financial forecasts and analyses.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial performance, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analyses to senior management, emphasizing key performance indicators and financial trends.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and assess the financial impact of potential business initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial planning and analysis, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor junior FP&A staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure financial systems and tools meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Monitor industry trends and economic conditions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on potential impacts on the business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Recent experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution, Wholesale is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning software, such as NetSuite and Power BI, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
