This role is crucial for the strategic planning and decision-making processes of the company. The FP&A Manager will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions and provide critical financial insights that drive business performance and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting activities, partnering with various departments to gather, validate, and interpret financial data.
- Work cross-departmentally to gain a deep understanding of operational drivers, incorporating these factors into comprehensive financial forecasts and analyses.
- Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational needs and strategic objectives.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial performance, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and analyses to senior management, emphasizing key performance indicators and financial trends.
- Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and assess the financial impact of potential business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial planning and analysis, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise and mentor junior FP&A staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure financial systems and tools meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Monitor industry trends and economic conditions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on potential impacts on the business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment on financial goals and strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Recent experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Distribution, Wholesale is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning software, such as NetSuite and Power BI, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
