Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A
Our client, a high-growth technology company, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making across the organization.
Location:
This role is hybrid, with in-office expectations of a minimum of two days per week in San Francisco, CA.
Job Description:
This highly visible role will partner with leaders across commercial, operational, technical, and corporate functions to manage spending, evaluate performance, and identify meaningful business insights. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling capabilities with clear communication, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Support monthly forecasting, annual planning, long-range planning, and management reporting activities
- Analyze financial results, budget-to-actual variances, and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities
- Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports covering revenue, expenses, and operational performance
- Prepare clear financial insights and supporting materials for leadership and other key stakeholders
- Partner with functional leaders to manage spending, evaluate organizational trade-offs, and improve financial decision-making
- Improve forecast accuracy through data-driven modeling and effective cross-functional collaboration
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring work and strengthen financial planning systems, processes, and reporting
- Support evolving business priorities through ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related analytical role
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including experience working with large datasets and building models from the ground up
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and business performance drivers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and improve processes in a fast-paced environment
