Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented International Accounting Consultant to support several international accounting and reconciliation projects across multiple global entities. This role will focus on complex account reconciliations, data analysis, equity compensation accounting, VAT-related reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and an auditor's mindset.
Responsibilities:

Reconcile international entity financials to ERP and investigate discrepancies across multiple global locations.

Analyze local statutory reporting and underlying accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Perform detailed account reconciliations and support data cleanup efforts across large datasets.

Review and analyze equity compensation transactions, including RSUs and ESPP activity, across multiple entities.

Assist with consolidation-related accounting analysis and intercompany reporting.

Support VAT and indirect tax reporting projects by gathering, validating, and analyzing financial data.

Work with international finance teams to understand reporting requirements, currency impacts, and accounting treatments.

Create organized workbooks, supporting documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve future reporting and reconciliation processes.

Ensure workpapers are audit-ready, properly documented, and compliant with US GAAP.
Required:

CPA license.

Extensive experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis, and data validation.

Ability to investigate accounting issues, document conclusions, and create sustainable processes.

Experience working with ERP systems
Preferred:

Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign currency translation.

Exposure to international accounting environments and global entity reporting.

Background supporting audit, consolidation, equity compensation, or indirect tax projects.
