About the Opportunity
- Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, time tracking, payroll and G/L
- Oversee bookkeeping function, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting
- Establish and monitor guidelines around cost accounting, pricing, revenue recognition and job profitability
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- Evaluate and develop business protocols to increase process efficiencies, maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Manage banking, debtor and significant vendor relationships
- Coordinate with fractional CFO, legal counsel, accounting, tax and other outsourced resources
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements, HST and corporate tax filings
- Address all other IT and Systems-related issues as they arise.
- Ad hoc projects as they arise
About You
- Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or Director of Finance in the marketing, advertising, print media, or manufacturing sectors.
- 6 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing workflow and process systems, and managing resources
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and Quickbooks accounting software
Salary Range
$140,000 to $155,000/year

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
