Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statement Preparation:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and work to resolve any identified issues.

Job Costing:
- Manage and analyze job cost data, including tracking of project budgets, actual costs, and variances.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and budgeting.
- Prepare job cost reports and provide insights into project profitability and efficiency.

General Accounting:
- Oversee and perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support external auditors during financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure company adherence.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide detailed financial reports to management for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management and operations, to ensure alignment of financial objectives.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
