About the Opportunity
- Oversee corporate and partnership tax returns and forms filings- from information gathering to filing to comply to tax laws, including T5013, T2, T3, T1134, T106 returns. Liaise with external professionals to address tax issues during compliance.
- Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries on tax audit, review and enquires.
- Identify income tax technical issues, conduct tax research, prepare memos and reports.
- Assist in tax planning, proposing and implementing solutions in course of business operations.
- Liaise with external professionals to advise on indirect tax matters.
- Supervise and advise on other government remittances/filings, such as GST/HST, EHT and etc.
- Work with other departments in providing tax related research to address tax related questions
- Generate and supervise maintenance of tax project reports. Assisting in updating and improving tax SOP.
About You
- CPA
- Over 3 years of tax experience working in public accounting firms
- Completion of In-depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation preferred
- Working experience in tax structuring and reorganization preferred
- Cross-border tax experience preferred
- Other business tax experiences an asset
Salary Range
$110,000 - $140,000/year
