Accounting Manager - Growing Manufacturing Company
Our client is a growing company in the manufacturing sector, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. The organization values financial expertise and is committed to maintaining strong financial operations as they continue to expand.
Position Overview
- Title: Accounting Manager
- Location: Hillsborough, NJ
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
- Work Arrangement: In-office, 5 days a week
As the Accounting Manager, you will report directly to senior leadership and work closely with the finance team. This fully on-site role involves managing a variety of finance and accounting responsibilities, including the preparation of financial statements, overseeing the month-end close process, and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations using QuickBooks, including:
- Generating invoices for accounts receivable
- Processing vendor payments
- Reviewing and categorizing credit card expenses
- Manage sales and use tax compliance and filings across multiple states
- Compile monthly financial reports, including:
- Preparing journal entries
- Reconciling accounts for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued expenses
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements
- Support external audit requests and processes as needed
- Handle ad hoc financial reporting requests to aid in consolidated management reporting
- Collaborate with the corporate finance team to analyze and assess key business initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in:
- Preparing financial statements
- Managing month-end close procedures
- Overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
