Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Job Summary: The Payroll Administrator ensures the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payrolls while providing comprehensive client service. This role involves recordkeeping, reporting, managing garnishments, and problem-solving, with oversight from the Payroll Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining confidential payroll information.
  • Data Management: Handle data entry and personnel transactions, including new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, benefits deductions, garnishments, child support, and liens.
  • Tax Administration: Manage multi-state and federal taxes, including quarterly and year-end filings. Conduct gross-to-net calculations, audits, and balancing.
  • Garnishments and Deductions: Set up and maintain records for garnishments, child support, and liens. Evaluate and address related issues.
  • Problem Resolution: Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, perform scheduled activities, and coordinate with regional HR teams.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports and queries using ADP and Excel. Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Systems Management: Act as the primary contact for time and attendance and payroll systems. Import hours between systems as required.
  • Record Keeping: Create and manage employee file folders, file records alphabetically, and retrieve information in response to authorized requests.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including strong data entry and Excel skills.
    • Experience in high-volume, multi-state payroll tax processing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with ADP required; ADP Vantage experience is ideal. Intermediate-level Excel skills are necessary.
  • Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
