JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Network Engineer (Meraki / Azure) for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Dallas, TX 75254 (3-days per week onsite [T / W / TH]). The Network Engineer (Meraki / Azure) will install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot network-related physical / virtual hardware and software. The Network Engineer (Meraki / Azure) will manage, maintain, support, design, and monitor the network infrastructure and systems, including LAN/WAN, Routers / Switches, Firewalls, VPN, Wireless Systems (WAP / WiFi, etc.), and Virtual / Cloud-based Networking Configurations.
- Troubleshoot Network Issues – Service Provider / Routing/Switching / Data Center Performance / Packet Loss / Latency / Systems Connectivity / Hardware Failure Issues, etc.
- Develop Networking-Related Policies / Procedures – Implement / Maintain Network Security Best Practices
- Interface with Cybersecurity / Governance Director – Implement Security Hardware / Software Configurations
- Evaluate / Design / Implement New Networking Configurations
- Maintain Relationships with Critical IT Service Providers
- Evaluate / Implement Break/Fix Solutions – Improve Network Stability / Performance
- Lead Network Disaster Recovery Initiatives
- Upgrade / Patch Network Device Software / Hardware
- Proactively Identify / Resolve Technical Risks, etc.
- Create / Maintain / Update System Process Documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Network Engineer – Cisco / Meraki / Azure / Cloud Tenant Connectivity
- Cisco Meraki – MX Appliances / Firewalls / WiFi Access Points / WAP / SD-WAN / Routers/Switches
- Cloud Tenant Connectivity – Azure Networking / Azure VNet Gateway / Azure ACL / DataLake / Security / Network Isolation / ExpressRoute Site-to-Site VPN Configuration / NSG Configuration, etc.
- Scripting Languages (hands-on) – PowerShell / Python / Shell Scripting, etc.
PREFERRED (not required)
- Certifications – CCNA / CCNP / Azure / Barracuda / Palo Alto / Fortinet, etc.
