Service Desk Analyst I
Location: Columbia, TN (Onsite – 5 Days Per Week)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $25-$27/hr (W2)
Conversion Salary: Approximately $50,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
We're looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join a growing IT team supporting employees across the organization. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on experience in a corporate environment and is looking for a place to grow.
The team is open to candidates who are still developing their technical skills, as long as they bring a strong work ethic, great customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. In fact, the person currently in this role is moving into a Business Analyst position internally, which speaks to the growth opportunities available.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology issues
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and common software problems
- Respond to service requests submitted through phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Perform password resets, account troubleshooting, and basic user support
- Set up computers and equipment for new employees
- Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Document issues and resolutions within the ticketing system
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved
- Assist Systems Administrators with various infrastructure and support projects
- Support hardware refreshes and other IT initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
- 0-2 years of Service Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support experience
- Basic Windows troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work well as part of a team
- Professional attitude and willingness to take ownership of issues
- Comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users
Nice to Have
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Experience performing computer setups and onboarding activities
- Exposure to Active Directory
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience supporting hardware, printers, and peripherals
