What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
This position reports to the VP of Internal Audit, coordinates with Senior Management, all divisions and departments, and external and contract auditors, and supervises assigned audit staff and project teams. This role will have up to 15% of travel.
Range of Responsibility: Performs advanced level and/or managerial professional internal auditing work. Work involves managing or conducting financial, compliance, and operational audit projects; providing consulting services to organizational management and staff; providing input to development of the annual audit plan; and providing training, coaching, and supervision to internal audit staff.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages the identification and evaluation of the organization’s risk areas and provides major input to the development of the audit plan.
- Manages the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
- Communicates the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
- Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
- Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Certification as a CPA, CIA, and/or CISA.
- 3 years public company auditing experience.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Audit Board software.
- Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, data analytics, and/or cybersecurity.
