Sr Engineering Manager POST NUMBER: 423651
We are seeking an experienced Sr Manager to lead our client’s Enterprise Solutions Engineering team, with a focus on technical design, development, and support of our ERP system and business applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O), expertise in X , and a proven track record of leading software development projects. In this role, you will lead your team in applying agile practices and design thinking to deliver and support solutions that enable the company’s tremendous growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team responsible for the technical development, implementation, and maintenance of the ERP system, specifically Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the design, development, and optimization of business applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of ERP projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards in all aspects of ERP development.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in ERP and business application solutions and assess their potential impact on the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at 5 years focused on ERP systems, specifically Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- At least 5 years of experience developing in X for Dynamics 365 F&O ERP.
- 3 years managing engineering teams.
- Experience in Dynamics ERP implementation, upgrade, and migration, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Strong understanding of business applications and their integration with ERP systems.
- Experience and understanding of best practices developing APIs.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures, preferably Azure, and an understanding of security best practices for cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in Agile delivery methods and experience with Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in Clean Code and design patterns, with the ability to apply these principles to improve the maintainability and scalability of ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams while being hands-on.
- Knowledge in Azure cloud services as well as database technologies such as SQL and Data Lakes.
