Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing CPA practice.
We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced individual to join our public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, mentorship, and client management. This role requires a strategic thinker who is ambitious, driven to succeed, and possesses an in-depth understanding of accounting principles.
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the firm's growth and development.
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify additional services for clients to help grow their businesses, such as advisory on financial planning and business strategy.
- Present yourself as a professional and trustworthy leader to both clients and staff.
- Review and ensure accuracy of junior staff's work, financial statements, and tax compliance filings.
- Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Execute engagements to the highest level of client service, including collaborating with client teams to discuss roles, responsibilities, risk areas, and deadlines.
About You
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting practice.
- LPA designation or ability to obtain designation within a few months.
- Proficient in using QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, CaseWare, and Tax prep.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other MS Office products.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing teams, building relationships, and leading effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Ability to mentor staff and develop their professional skills.
- Ambitious and driven to achieve success and growth for the firm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to source and attract the right clients.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive tax planning and advisory services, minimizing tax liabilities for clients while ensuring compliance for corporate and personal tax clients.
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, including the latest changes and their implications for clients.
- Expertise in overseeing booking and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
