About the Client
Our client is sourcing for a Risk Analyst.

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst supports the Enterprise Risk Management mandate in identifying, managing, reporting and monitoring risks to the firm. They will execute risk assessments, internal reviews, and manage specific risk functions (ex. third party risk). The analyst will liaise with business partners in assessing and mitigating risks, while implementing process improvements. 

About the Opportunity
  • Risk Management
  • Perform risk identification and assessment activities as a part of ongoing processes and change to products, services, projects, etc. 
  • Assess risk issues and events to determine risk categorization & materiality, mitigation actions, and opportunities for process & control enhancements. 
  • Liaise with business partners when assessing and mitigating risks, implementing process, and controls improvements and validation of risk mitigation success.
  • Manage risk infrastructure including risk categories, risk register, issue tracker, guidelines, etc.

Reporting
  • Source, transform, analyse, and report on information from a variety of sources (ex. financial performance, cybersecurity, sales activities, operational activities, etc.). 
  • Develop, enhance, and assess risk & performance metrics to identify risk trends and opportunities.
  • Highlight areas of concern and improvement.

Internal Reviews
  • Execute reviews of specific functional areas including assessing compliance with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices with a focus on process and controls enhancement. 
  • Articulate findings, insights, and actionable recommendations for improvement, including supporting remediation actions and validating remediation success.

Other
  • Manage the third-party risk management process, including the entity and contract register, new third-party due diligence process, annual risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Assist with managing risks pertaining to our investment process (ex. our investment philosophy and the environmental, social, and governance processes & commitments).
  • Assist with policies, guidelines, awareness materials, and governance activities.
  • Assist with enterprise processes such as business process continuity, incident response, cybersecurity preparedness, etc.


About You
  • Experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, consulting, finance or similar environment
  • Ability to liaise with, negotiate, and influence business partners across the organisation
  • Excellent analytical skills in assessing multiple sources of information and performing computation tasks
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills 
  • Ability to distill complex information into actionable insights
  • Strong work ethics and diligence with handling confidential information
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills 
  • High accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
  • Completion of financial and/or securities related courses preferred
  • Coding knowledge considered an asset
