Senior Manager of Internal Audit

LOCATION: On-site in Santa Francisco with options for hybrid or fully remote work.

Our client, a leading company in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Audit. This role involves assessing risk, developing and maintaining internal controls, and working closely with process owners on improvements and remediation. The position offers flexibility with options for hybrid or fully remote work, with occasional travel to the Santa Clara office for critical times.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, document, assess, and monitor internal control framework, including group policies and key risks.
  • Formulate policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Lead the process for internal controls reviews across the company.
  • Deliver adequate and timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies.
  • Actively seek standardization and automation, apply and implement best practices for managing internal controls.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors to ensure consideration and resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with leaders across all major functional areas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, including internal audit experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience with CPA and/or CIA certification, highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding and experience with internal control framework.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to spot, assess, and address risk, materiality, and interdependencies.
