Compliance Coordinator POST NUMBER: 426133
The Compliance position is responsible for ensuring the fleet is compliant with all state and Federal transportation laws. This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining owner operator lease agreements, random drug screenings, owner operator onboarding and filing paperwork with the DOT/FMCSA. In addition, they support safety initiatives by managing the post-accident investigation through root cause analysis, maintaining accurate paperwork, and reporting all accidents to our insurance company.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor unsafe driving practices through camera software and counsel owner operators on safe driving practices.
- Monitor insurance system for compliance.
- Randomly audit DVIR’s (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports), timecards and maintenance records to promote record compliance.
- Manages the onboarding process for new owner operators through orientation, initial drug and alcohol screenings, criminal background checks, social security search, prior employment verification, DOT compliance investigation and Motor Vehicle Report.
- Maintain the fuel card program.
- Help create and maintain safety related KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
- Investigate and report accidents to Supervisor and Transportation Manager through root cause analysis. In addition, communicating all information related to the accident to insurance, legal/compliance, and management.
- Work closely with the Supervisor to establish events within the software.
- Create purchase requisitions for our maintenance vendors in SAP/Hana 4.
- Create and manage monthly reporting insurance, compliance/legal and internal team members.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other business related field. 2?4 years of previous accounts payable and customer service experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proven track record of superior customer service abilities and decision making.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; inclusive of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Training with basic insurance terminology, SAP / Hana 4 experience
- Fluent in Spanish.
- The ability to work independently with excellent time management and organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while researching and resolving ambiguous information effectively.
