As a Tax Consultant (CPA), you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex individual, partnership, S-corporation, and fiduciary income tax returns. You will work closely with clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws while providing personalized tax planning strategies to optimize their financial well-being. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a public firm setting, a CPA certification, and a proven ability to manage tax compliance independently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Identify and execute tax planning strategies to maximize clients' financial worth
  • Support clients in dealing with the IRS and other tax authorities
  • Conduct complex tax research and analysis, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations
  • Participate in virtual and phone client meetings, providing insightful tax guidance and planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage client accounts and deadlines efficiently


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a public firm setting, focusing on tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, and trusts (experience from a small to medium-sized firm is preferred)
  • CPA certification required (or CPA candidate in process)
  • Solid understanding of federal and state tax compliance
  • Experience with ProSystem fx Suite is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and personable demeanor, with a strong sense of integrity and attention to detail
